• Ability to float to other units or campuses as needed
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Description :

The position involves caring for inpatient adults with acute or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions.

Common cardiovascular diagnoses may include sepsis, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease.

The patient population may also include individuals receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation.

Staffing ratios include 1 staff member to 5 patients during the day.

Interdisciplinary support is provided by various services including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Special procedures include vasoactive drug administration, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, thrombolytic therapy, and cardiac telemetry monitoring.

All staff must demonstrate and document competencies for tasks performed in their roles.

Continuous collaboration within the healthcare team is essential to ensure patient safety and quality care.
