Job description

We're assisting a well-funded, profitable startup with their search for forward deployed engineers. This startup acquires mission-critical software companies and accelerates their growth with their in-house engineering and go-to-market resources. They're hiring multiple engineers in this capacity to work on a hybrid schedule in their SF or Toronto offices.

What you'll do :

Collaborate closely with portfolio companies to understand their unique challenges and objectives.
Analyze, design, and implement innovative solutions across various technology stacks to drive business outcomes.
Build and implement technology-led value creation playbooks and shared services (payment processing, SEO, sales and GTM tooling) for portfolio companies
Utilize AI coding tools to accelerate your development processes and enhance product offerings
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams within portfolio companies

What you'll bring :

4+ years of experience as a software engineer with a track record of delivering impactful solutions across various technologies.

Previous high-growth tech startup experience.

Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.

Strong full stack engineering fundamentals - ability to work both frontend (35%) and backend.

Strong understanding of AI technologies and experience with AI coding tools.

Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business and technical challenges.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
