Department : Test Department Job Status : Full Time

FLSA Status : Exempt Reports To : Test Supervisor

Travel Required : None Work Schedule : Evening Shift (2PM - 10 : 30PM)

Positions Supervised : Night Shift Service Test Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is the final check to ensure that world class NLB quality is delivered to the customer. The Test Technician is responsible for all testing activities of NLB equipment. This person will :

  • Follow all product testing schedules given by Department Lead or Manager to meet shipment schedules.
  • Give immediate feedback on all manufacturing issues to the Assembly and Accessories Depts along with Department Lead and / or Manager.
  • Ensure that all products receive a final engineering inspection and provide immediate feedback to the Engineering Dept and Test Department Lead / Manager on technical and design issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Confirm correct function of all items related to the unit and accessory operation.
  • Prioritize and follow the scheduling of Equipment for testing.
  • Monitor testing recording temperatures, capacity changes and performing repairs as needed.
  • Must be able to document test results accurately and clearly, communicate effectively, get along with co-workers, and deal with colleagues effectively and professionally.
  • Provide feedback to the Assembly and Accessory Departments (as well as the Quality Manager) on quality and completeness of work product.
  • Provide feedback to the Engineering Department on design and function of work product.
  • Ensure all products receive a final engineering inspection.
  • Must have own tools.
  • A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.

  • SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Education : Significant service and / or managerial experience.

    Experience : Three to seven years related experience

    Computer Skills : Intermediate Computer Skills required.

    Other Requirements : Must be mechanically inclined and possess excellent technical skills. Strong work ethic and decision-making skills. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
