Accounting Consultant- Atlanta (Onsite)

RGP is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to support our clients in the Atlanta area with critical accounting functions. This consultant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting audit and compliance initiatives, and driving efficient month-end close, consolidation, and financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience across diverse industries, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Lead and execute month-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses

Manage and analyze accrued liabilities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP

Support and perform consolidation activities, including intercompany eliminations and preparing consolidated financial statements

Prepare and analyze financial results to ensure accuracy, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to management

Collaborate cross-functionally in a hybrid work environment to resolve discrepancies, align consolidation data, and enhance reporting efficiency

Utilize advanced Excel functions and reporting tools to streamline financial consolidation and data analysis

Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within corporate or consulting environments

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, OneStream, Workiva, or Workday preferred

Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Excellent communication skills and a consultative, solution-oriented mindset
