Lead Designer Piping

Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. The Partnership's midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 9,500 miles of pipeline and over 100 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership's fuel distribution operations, which serve approximately 10,000 convenience stores, independent dealers, commercial customers, and distributors.

Position Summary :

This position will be responsible for providing advanced design and drafting services for engineering projects and maintenance modifications.

Major Accountabilities :

• Prepares designs and estimates from general instruction and / or preliminary sketches, diagrams, or schematics.
• May recommend modifications and changes for design improvement and simplification.
• May occasionally assist in the training and oversight of lower level drafting personnel, including contractors.
• Documents and / or reviews facility changes and complies with the Company’s Process Safety Management program.
• Oversees technical support to all departments that will result in safe, efficient and cost effective installations.
• Executes advanced complex design, preliminary equipment studies, equipment / plot layout, complex pipe conduit routing, standard     detail design development and structural / concrete design and detailing.
• Ensures the CAD files and equipment files are maintained per company standards.
• Leads the fieldwork required for design, including obtaining field dimensions / surveying, field verification of existing drawings and provides technical assistance to field construction as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
