Laborer Position Overview

At Moss Utilities, we specialize in underground utility installations across the DFW Metroplex. Our project experience includes commercial, single-family residential, multi-family residential, and public works infrastructure. Founded in 2016, Moss Utilities carries forward a family legacy in Dallas-Fort Worth utility construction dating back to the early 1900s. A laborer supports construction crews by performing manual labor and assisting with the installation of underground utilities. Responsibilities include :

• Work effectively as part of a crew to support daily project objectives.
• Assist with all manual labor tasks as directed by the Crew Leader, Foreman, or Supervisor.
• Operate construction equipment in a safe and competent manner.
• Perform physically demanding construction duties as needed.
• Perform concrete finishing duties, including :
• Placing, leveling, and smoothing concrete surfaces
• Using hand tools and power tools (trowels, edgers, screeds, floats, etc.)
• Setting and stripping forms
• Ensuring proper curing, sealing, and finishing techniques
• Repairing or patching concrete surfaces when needed
• Support crew members with underground utility installations, trench work, and general site cleanup.
