Job description

The Medical Assistant 2 provides essential support and administrative services to the office, the doctors, and the patients in a fast-paced doctor's office. This person will be involved in a wide spectrum of tasks focused around assisting the Physician in all minor in office procedures, as well as being cross-trained in all aspects of the Front Desk Receptionist role to include scheduling, data entry, and maintaining patient records.

Medical Assistant 2 Essential Functions / Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) :

  • Greet patients, take vitals, update medical records, and prepare patients for exams
  • Assist with injections, wart treatments, nail care, diabetic shoe fittings, and minor surgeries
  • Perform X-rays and basic podiatric care
  • Handle front desk tasks : scheduling, insurance verification, and patient payments
  • Maintain clean, fully stocked exam rooms; prep, clean, and autoclave instruments
  • Follow up with patients post-procedure

\Medical Assistant 2 Required Skills and Experience :

  • High School Diploma / GED; MA program completion or 2+ years clinical experience
  • CMA or RMA preferred
  • Strong clinical skills with wound care, DME, and minor surgical support
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, EMRs, and medical terminology
  • Excellent multitasking, teamwork, and communication skills
