TikTok Shop - Data Scientist - Measurement

Responsibilities

The Global E-commerce Data Science team aims to maximize the efficiency of e-commerce transactions, lead product decision-making iterations, and achieve sustainable growth in revenue with data and scientific methods, through quantitative techniques such as mathematical statistics and machine learning. Team Introduction : Our Measurement team is a Scientific Accelerator & Research team that is dedicated to addressing and operationalizing capabilities in the following areas : Complex experiments, Causal inference, eco-system research, and profiling and tagging. Responsibilities : - Understand ambiguous business, product and user problems, and apply advanced scientific techniques to find solutions; - Identify key trends, patterns, and opportunities to drive e-commerce data products adoption, engagement and incremental impacts; - Conduct A / B testing and complex experimentation (bilateral, networks effect, etc.); - Partner closely with key stakeholders to optimize overall measurement strategy and design.

Qualifications

Miniumum Qualifications : - Bachelor degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Analytics; - At least 3 years of Data Science experience in Causal Inference, Experimentation, Product Analytics, Machine Learning, and Statistics expertise; - SQL & Python or R proficiency. Preferred Qualifications : - Advanced Degree (MS, PhD.) in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, etc; - Causal Inference, Experimentation, Product Analytics, Machine Learning, and Statistics experience; - Business oriented. Have a strong business sense to proactively help Product and Operations identify key business challenges using data-driven insights; - Strong curiosity and self-driving force; - Excellent communication skills, an open mind, and positive critical thinking; - Solid technical & knowledge of A / B testing methodologies, can consistently explore and find the best practice; - Insightful data sense and rigorous logical mindset, capable of providing systematic approaches to solve business problems.

[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $167538 - $312867 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses / incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
