Job Title : Phlebotomist

Job Description

Exhibit proficiency in blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups, including pediatric and difficult draws in medical office buildings. Understand compliance and safety comprehensively and communicate its importance effectively. Provide orientation and training for patient service technicians. Work with pediatric patients under the supervision of the lab supervisor and team lead. Schedule availability is between 6am to 11pm every day of the week.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection using venipuncture and capillary techniques on patients of all age groups.
• Handle pediatric blood collections and difficult draws efficiently.
• Ensure compliance and safety standards are upheld and communicated to other employees.
• Provide training and orientation to patient service technicians.
• Maintain excellent attendance and behavior records.
• Flexibly manage shifts and hours as required.
• Travel to various Medical Office Building labs throughout South OC.

Work Environment

Work in high-volume Medical Office Buildings (clinics), with a transition to the main lab in the hospital once permanent. Locations include Aliso Viejo, Irvine, Foothill Ranch, Huntington Beach, Santa Ana, San Juan Capistrano, and Tustin, CA.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00 / hr.
