About The Position

Description :

Position for an Endoscopy PACU Registered Nurse.

Endoscopy experience is preferred.

Schedule is Monday to Friday, from 08 : 00 to 17 : 30.

Four 9-hour shifts with no call, weekends, or holidays required.

ACLS certification is mandatory.

PACU experience is essential.

Critical care PACU skills are necessary for assessment and time management in a busy unit.

Average daily census is 30 to 40 cases per day.

Patient ratio is 1 : 1.

First-timers are accepted.

Candidates must have experience with colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and sigmoidoscopy.

Experience with Olympus scopes and processors is required.

Candidates should possess skills in airway management, IV starting, and specimen handling.

Recovery from monitored anesthesia care sedation is part of the responsibilities.

Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs is expected.

The unit serves adults and geriatric patients.

Special procedures include general and interventional GI procedures.

Candidates must have a strong ability to handle multiple cases and prioritize effectively.

Renewal of certifications may be required during contracted employment.

Candidates will be subject to compliance and background checks.
