ID : 72975879 Shift : 12H Nights EOW, nights, first to float Description : Unit : ER / MedSurg / Swing Bed UnitCertifications Required : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCCNO CLINICAL INVOLVEMENT- Trauma Level? : Critical Access (Rural Location)- # of Beds : 25- How many years of experience required? : 2 yrs - Previous Travel experience required? : no - EMR : EPIC - Ratios : 1 : 8. Utilize team nursing- Common diagnoses / Types of patients : Dementia, dependent older adults, diabetes, rehab / restorative care post acute illness, IV medication, fluid and blood administration, COVID, wounds, initial care of trauma patients in the ER, exacerbation of chronic illnesses, Geriatric population, general rehab post-surgery.- Experience or 'Must have' skills : Understanding of dementia, stroke, skin care geriatric patient care- Are RNs required to titrate drips? : Yes- Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Electrolytes, hypertensive medications, IV antibiotics, blood transfusions- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Yes- Does the charge nurse take an assignment? : Team assignment, not individual assignments - Are there nurse aids / patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties? : Yes - Nurse Aides / CNA on each shift - RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Patient managed CPAP only - Are RNs required to do anything with RT Equipment besides troubleshoot? : no - Do you have Tele / Monitor Techs in the ER? Are RNs required to read their own strips? RNs must read and interpret- Shifts & Scheduling : 12hr Shifts, 0645-1915, 1845-0715- Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling? : Team scheduling, block scheduling is possible- must be requested- Weekend Requirement : Every other- Holiday Requirement : Alternating / As scheduled- usually every other holiday- Is there call or a standby requirement? No- Floating Requirements : ER / Medsurg Support- Scrub Color / Dress Code / Scrubs provided? : Scrubs, no specific color - How many shifts of unit / department specific orientation? 3 Radius Rule : 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and / or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions. Cancellation Policy : 4 shifts per contract; 3 shifts if contract is under 13 weeks Charting BSN License to Trauma Level : Care Shift , nights, first to float Required , BLS, PALS, TNCC Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Contract Weeks : 91
