Overview
At Automated Logic, a Carrier company, we develop and support intelligent building solutions that help customers operate their facilities more efficiently. We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Field Engineer to perform field commissioning of building automation systems tailored to individual customers. You will work on solving increasingly complex problems and help train less experienced Field Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems that utilize advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
- Serve as local contact for technical issues and act as a field leader.
- Provide effective solutions for increasingly complex system issues.
- Provide turnkey project delivery on small to medium projects.
- Ensure systems operate properly, including controls, sensors, and software.
- Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports.
- Implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicate and document project status and details for the customer.
- Provide site-specific training to owners / operators on the complete system.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.2+ years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or a technical field.Ability to climb ladders or use lift equipment over 8 feet and lift items up to 50 lbs.Valid and current Driver's License and insurable by the company's insurance.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, associate degree, technical / business school certificate or diploma in HVAC, Controls, or related field.Experience with building automation software (e.g., WebCTRL) and installing complex building automation controls.Knowledge of navigating and integrating into various building automation systems.Advanced knowledge of TCP / IP networks including wireless technology.Experience handling multiple challenges across disciplines and communicating technical information to non-technical audiences.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.Compliance
