Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of heavy equipment and vehicles. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities :

• Inspecting and Diagnosing : Examine vehicles and equipment to identify malfunctions, using diagnostic tools and equipment, including computerized systems.
• Repairing and Replacing : Repair or replace defective or worn parts, such as engines, transmissions, brake systems, and electrical components.
• Maintaining and Servicing : This includes performing routine maintenance like oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotations.
• Overhauling Components : Disassemble and reassemble major components, like engines and hydraulic systems, to repair or replace worn parts.
• Following Safety Procedures : Adhere to strict safety guidelines and use protective equipment when working with potentially dangerous materials and situations.
• Documenting Work : Maintaining records of equipment condition and work performed is crucial.
• Providing Field Service : May travel to worksites to repair equipment on-site.

Essential Skills and Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.

Diagnostic Abilities :

Strong ability to identify problems using diagnostic tools and interpret test results.

Mechanical Aptitude :

Manual dexterity and the ability to use tools and equipment effectively.

Physical Stamina :
