• Traveler experience accepted
• Strong experience in high acuity and high-risk cases

Description :

This role is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery.

Candidates will assist both mother and baby in a LDRP unit.

The unit handles approximately 100 births per year, indicating a less busy department.

However, the unit may have higher acuity and high-risk cases.

Experience is important due to the autonomy required in this small department.

The nurse's patient-to-nurse ratio will be 1 : 1 to 1 : 2.

The nurse will be required to float to MedSurg, CNA, secretary roles, or helping hands as needed.

Weekend requirements will be determined based on department needs.

Strong experience is necessary to ensure quality care in this unit.

Candidates should also be comfortable floating to other units based on skill sets and census.

The charting system used will be Meditech Magic.
