Job description

Sanford Health is seeking a BE / BC Hospice Medicine physician to join the group with the desire to be the Medical Director.

  • The Hospice Medical Director role includes program development and educate physicians across the organization
  • Practice includes oversight of the Sanford Hospice program based in Sioux Falls, SD with Branches in SD and MN
  • This program features a Home Hospice, four Residential Hospice Cottages, and a 20-Bed Adult / Pediatric Inpatient Hospice House
  • Disease management and pain and symptom management

of hospice patients

  • Experience in care of terminally ill patients is desired
  • Demonstrates ability to promote teamwork and collaboration within the interdisciplinary team as well as referral sources and the communities we serve
  • Flexible work schedule plus call coverage
  • Interdisciplinary Team includes : Advanced Practice Providers, Registered Nurses, Pastoral Care professionals, Social Workers, Case Management and Medical Ethicists
