Description - What Your Day Will Entail

• Conduct routine and advanced clinical laboratory tests-covering areas like chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more-following established protocols.
• Evaluate results for precision, troubleshoot discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Assist with specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as necessary.
• Diligently document all procedures, mentor new staff or students, and ensure adherence to laboratory quality standards.
• Sustain a clean, safe workspace and comply with regulatory and accreditation mandates.

Educational Background

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a comparable allied health degree along with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certification Requirements

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of employment.
• Maintain valid certification for the duration of employment.
