Overview
The professional services arm of Mastercard Worldwide provides payments‑focused consulting, marketing, information and risk management services, security solutions, open banking, and more to merchants and financial institutions worldwide. Within the Services team, the Security Solutions NAM team manages fraud and risk, enhances cybersecurity, and improves the digital payments experience for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead security solutions sales relationships across Mastercard’s largest merchant customers in the United States.
- Identify new opportunities, build a sales funnel, and grow and influence services revenue with account managers.
- Develop, execute, and manage sales strategies that drive in‑year revenue and total contract value.
- Build and expand relationships with client stakeholders, developing trust to enable in‑depth discussions on client goals and needs; surface security services revenue opportunities.
- Translate client challenges into hypotheses and structure large / complex engagements with imperfect information; leverage deep knowledge of Mastercard Services capabilities to craft innovative solutions and strategic bundles.
- Lead internal partners to develop formal and informal pitch materials; ensure concise, persuasive content tailored to audience and seniority.
- Deliver compelling, high‑impact pitches, showcasing leadership, expertise, and alignment to client needs.
- Review and improve project deliverables, quickly identifying gaps and opportunities to increase client value.
- Drive intelligence back into Services and broader Mastercard, supporting the feedback loop that fuels Services innovation.
- Provide formal reporting to senior management on sales milestones, in‑year revenue, pipeline, targets, and gaps to targets.
- Contribute as a thought leader to the development of intellectual capital, viewpoints, articles, and blogs.
Qualifications (About You)
Undergraduate degree required; MBA or relevant postgraduate degree preferred.Proven track record of selling technology solutions in fraud, identity, or cyber security, specifically targeting merchants and exceeding targets.Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence stakeholders (internal & client) in large / complex environments.Best‑in‑class narrative development and storytelling; experience in creating compelling sales narratives and pitch materials for complex client business challenges.Leadership presence and best‑in‑class pitch / presentation skills; ability to establish credibility and influence client audiences.Excellent analytical skills, including financial analysis for business casing, value quantification, and pricing.Demonstrated creativity, problem‑solving, and empathy (ability to think from the customer’s perspective).Disciplined and process‑oriented; proven ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.Proficient in advanced Excel and PowerPoint functionalities to analyze complex data, create impactful visualizations, and deliver compelling presentations.Overnight travel required (20%).Open to remote employees.Compensation & Benefits
National Salary Range (Applies Regardless of Location) : $164,000 – $262,000.
In the United States, the successful candidate may receive a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. Full‑time benefits include medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; flexible spending and health savings accounts; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; 25 days of vacation and 5 personal days (pro‑rated). 10 annual U.S. observed holidays; 401(k) with competitive company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on‑site fitness facilities; tuition reimbursement; and more.
