We are seeking the creme de la creme Managing Director for the premier luxury waterfront Boston Harbor Hotel at Rowes Wharf. Under the umbrella of Pyramid Global Hospitality, this is a compelling leadership opportunity for a seasoned professional seeking a rewarding role. The Boston Harbor Hotel offers 232 rooms, over 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space, numerous food & beverage outlets, and premium amenities.
The Managing Director is responsible for the overall operations, strategy, and growth of the hotel, including managing financial performance, optimizing revenue, and fostering a world-class team. The MD engages with guests and maintains a strong presence within the hotel community to position the property as a standout destination in luxury hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Strategic leadership : Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan to drive growth and profitability; identify market trends and make informed business decisions; set long-term goals for the hotel.
- People leadership : Ensure staff recruitment, training, coaching, and rewards to maintain performance standards; lead a diverse team of department heads; provide guidance and development opportunities; foster teamwork and open communication.
- Operations management : Oversee all departments (sales, HR, front office, F&B, banquets, housekeeping, engineering, etc.); ensure smooth day-to-day operations; monitor service quality and guest satisfaction; manage the hotel budget and resources.
- Financial management : Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, implement corrective actions; drive revenue through pricing, upselling, and value-added experiences.
- Guest experience : Foster a guest-centric culture, address guest concerns promptly, and implement initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Facilities management : Ensure maintenance and enhancement of physical assets and sustainability initiatives.
- Regulatory compliance : Stay updated on local and national regulations and ensure health and safety standards.
Qualifications
Proven leader with a significant track record in a large luxury hotel or resort as General Manager or Managing Director, preferably 4- or 5-diamond luxury properties.10+ years of progressive leadership experience in full-service luxury hotels / resorts with a stable career path.College degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Hospitality or Travel & Tourism Management.Strong sales acumen with a proven track record of driving profits in sales, revenues, and F&B.Strong owner relationship and presentation skills; significant experience in the Boston travel and tourist market is preferred.Exceptional leadership, communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities; ability to adapt to varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.Other Details
