Description : Job Overview :
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and the ability to diagnose and correct mechanical and electrical issues in a critical environment.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Conduct routine inspections of pumps, valves, and associated piping systems
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment status for tracking and regulatory compliance purposes.
- Respond promptly to reports of broken or faulty equipment, prioritizing repairs based on operational needs.
- Ensure that all water treatment equipment is clean and properly lubricated to maintain optimal func-tionality
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
- Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal safety and quality regulations including proper use of protective gear.
- Report accidents, safety violations, or other concerns.
- Assist in planning and improving processes and product quality.
- Complete required training.
- Ability to work collaboratively to improve processes and product quality in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Be willing to work flexible shifts, including day, night, and weekend shifts, during peak seasons.
- Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements :
Required Skills / Abilities :
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods; climb, crouch, operate tools, and wear safety gear.Ability to weld and pipe fit for repairsProficiency in diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques.Understanding of chemical processes.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to lift 50lbs or more.Education and Experience :
High School Diploma or equivalent.More education or experience in a related field may be required
