Must-Have :

• Experience in Labor and Delivery
• EPIC experience
• IV placement experience

Description :

The position requires experience in a Labor and Delivery unit.

Candidates must have experience with EPIC and IV placement.

The unit has 13 Labor and Delivery beds, 8 triage beds, and 17 postpartum beds.

On average, there are 7.2 births per day.

The nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 1 for active labor, 1 : 3 for triage, and 1 : 6 for postpartum / mom-baby.

The facility utilizes a GE Corometerics Fetal Monitoring System and EPIC for electronic medical records.

A charge nurse and house supervisor are scheduled on every shift.

Nurse aides and OB techs are also scheduled on every shift.

Weekend requirements include working 3 weekend shifts and 2 Friday shifts.

Holiday shifts are rotating according to unit policy.

Common diagnoses include high-risk labor and antepartum patients.

Floating to different areas within the facility may be required, and there will be floor-specific orientation.
