Senior Backend Engineer
About the Role : We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale APIs and services that power our products. You'll lead technical design, ship reliable code, and mentor teammates. This is a unique opportunity to establish a solid technical foundation and influence the direction of our technology stack.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities :
- Architect, implement, and maintain backend services.
- Design clean, well-documented REST / GraphQL APIs and data models that serve our web application.
- Own service reliability including comprehensive testing, observability, performance, and incident response.
- Collaborate with Product / Design to break down problems and deliver iteratively.
- Lead code reviews, author technical docs, and mentor engineers.
- Drive technical decisions on architecture, tooling, and best practices.
Qualifications :
6-8+ years of backend engineering experience in production environments.Strong proficiency in Typescript / Next.js or equivalent experience in Python, Go, Java, etc.Deep experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred, MySQL) including query optimization and schema design.Experience with caching strategies (Redis) and message queuing systems (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ).Proven track record with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker preferred, Kubernetes).Experience with CI / CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.Experience designing secure APIs and with service reliance patterns.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with real-time communication / WebSockets.Takes initiative and drives projects from conception to completion.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.Background in investment management or multifamily real estate.Why Join Us?

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.
