Pharmaceutical Sales Support
Provides pharmaceutical sales support and service to dialysis facilities, staff and HCPs within an assigned sales territory. Functions as an RTG pharmaceutical product resource and specialist.
Principal duties and responsibilities include :
- An experienced professional with an understanding of pharmaceutical sales
- Under supervision, utilizes established procedures to achieve projected quarterly sales goals in pharmaceutical products
- Effectively utilizes reporting tools provided to achieve territorial goals
- Creates and executes an effective call plan
- Identifies and prioritizes appropriate routing, scheduling of in-servicing needs, educational support, and follow-up calls
- Demonstrates proficiency in all aspects of product responsibility, inclusive of disease state information on renal therapies, renal disease, bone disease
- Achieves consistent sales coverage with clinics and physicians by meeting minimum call expectations per day
- Identifies customer needs and presents the value of working with FMC to meet those needs
- Collaborates with internal cross-functional partners to achieve shared objectives in assigned territory
- Communicates and collaborates with Director of Sales on goals and strategies to maintain and grow business
- Utilizes professional concepts and consistently applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues
- Builds collaborative relationships internally and externally
- Escalates issues to supervisor / manager for resolution, as deemed necessary
- Exercises judgement in selecting methods, strategies and evaluation criteria for obtaining sales results
- Networks with key contacts outside of area of expertise
- Mentors other staff as applicable
- Assists with various projects as assigned by management
- Other duties as assigned
Physical demands and working conditions include :
Must be able to physically cover and maintain regular face-to-face contact with customers over a large geographic areaExtensive travel by automobile / train / airplane is often necessaryContact with customers by phone alone is not adequate. Occasional weekend work is necessaryLifting requirements involve setting up portable booths, occasional lifting up to 50lbs, and transporting medical equipment and suppliesMust reside within assigned territorySupervision : None
Education : Bachelor's Degree required; in lieu of degree, a combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience and required skills include :
