Development Manager

Seeking a Development Manager to be responsible for :

  • Lead project development of utility scale solar assets from site origination through financial close / start of construction.
  • Site and permit facilities on agricultural land.
  • Negotiate lease agreements and purchase option agreements
  • Manage local community relationships through design and financing to secure additional support as needed for road use agreements, zoning support, and property tax incentives.
  • Manage internal and external resources (engineering, finance, legal, environmental, etc) to successfully develop projects.
  • Maintain an overview of the relevant business and competitive environment, including regulatory and environmental rules.

The Successful Applicant :

  • 6+ years of experience in the development of renewable energy projects - preferably thermal, solar, storage, and wind.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Environmental Science or related field
  • Impressive track record and experience in development of renewable energy projects
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, multi-task, make decisions, prioritize, and meet assigned deadlines in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills - able to work and communicate effectively with a cross-functional internal team, vendors, consultants, various project stakeholders, authorities having legal control, utilities, state agencies etc.
