STAFF ACCOUNTANT POSITION SUMMARY:
The Staff Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the financial operations of Union Rescue Mission by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information. This position is responsible for maintaining detailed financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting internal and external reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and nonprofit accounting standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Abila MIP Fund Accounting, a solid understanding of grant reporting requirements, and the ability to interpret financial data to support sound management decision making. This role also includes supervisory responsibilities, providing oversight to the Accounts Payable Clerk for all expense-related workflows.
The Staff Accountant must demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence while supporting the mission, vision, and values of Union Rescue Mission.
