Talent Compliance Specialist

The Talent Compliance Specialist, reporting to the Talent Engagement and Compliance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the integrity and compliance of our professional linguist network. In this high-stakes role, you will be on the front lines, managing the administrative and educational processes necessary to maintain our independent contractor status in compliance with state and federal laws.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Talent Documentation Auditing : Systematically review and audit new and existing Talent files to ensure all legal requirements for independent contractor status are met to include Licensure / Certification and Business Certification.
• Compliance Education Support : Assist in developing and disseminating clear, simple, and positive communications to educate linguists on compliance requirements and the legal necessity of their business documents.
• 1099 Talent Onboarding : Administer the compliance portion of the onboarding process, including verifying completed W-9 forms; Track the execution and renewal of all essential legal documents, including the Talent Services Agreement and Mutual Arbitration Agreement.
• Partnering with Talent Engagement : Work directly with the Talent Engagement team to embed compliance messaging into recruitment and retention efforts. This ensures a consistent, positive, and legally sound message is delivered regarding the independent contractor relationship and the referral agency exemption.
• Liaison with Warranty Claims : Collaborate with the Warranty Claims department to review instances where Talent conduct may impact compliance with professional standards laid out in agreements and required modules.
