Production Superintendent
TrinityRail Maintenance Services is currently seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Production Superintendent at our Jonesboro, AR railcar facility.

This Superintendent serves as a pivotal figure within our plant leadership team, responsible for the oversight of both the flaring and tank car cleaning teams. What you'll do :
- Lead and mentor the Cleaning Rack, flaring, and tank car cleaning teams, including supervisors and hourly personnel. Oversee training, onboarding, and certification to ensure all employees are prepared and qualified for their roles.
- Production and Operations Management : Organize and assign work schedules, set production targets, and monitor performance to maximize productivity and meet safety, quality, and output goals. Proactively resolve operational issues and coordinate workloads to ensure efficient completion of schedules.
- Continuous Improvement and Quality Assurance : Collaborate with other departments to implement process enhancements and maintain high standards for cleaning railcars, ensuring compliance with company and customer specifications.
- Environmental, Health, and Safety Oversight : Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety requirementsincluding confined space entry, flare operation, robotic cleaning, waste disposal, and environmental compliancefor all cleaning team members and downstream employees.
- Financial and Cost Management : Monitor labor efficiency, manage operational costs, and oversee the financial outcomes of cleaning operations to meet departmental and facility financial objectives.
- Strategic Planning and Business Development : Align cleaning operations with plant needs, develop additional cleaning-only services to maximize rack utilization, and establish technical plans to achieve both immediate and long-term business goals.
- Knowledge Sharing and Documentation : Share best practices and robotic cleaning expertise with other Trinity facilities, and ensure all work performed on railcars is accurately documented.
What you'll bring :
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology preferred or 5-7 years relevant experience5+ years of applicable Manufacturing Management experience5+ years of experience in cleaning tanks, railcars, or similar vesselsExperience, knowledge or training of Lean Manufacturing methodologies with actual implementation backgroundMust have people management experience; ability to supervise and interface effectively with employees of all levelsExperience managing operational expenses for department that ensures good stewardship of company resources to achieve business objectivesConfined space entry management experience requiredKnowledge of operations or the ability to acquire it quicklyStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to effectively plan work procedures, equipment, material and manpower needsAbility to effectively build and lead a productive work group as well as to perform as a member of the management teamMust have Excel and Microsoft Office ExperienceIf you possess the expertise and leadership skills necessary to excel in this role, we encourage you to apply and become an integral part of TrinityRail Maintenance Services.
