Revolution provides our communities with a wide range of the highest-quality medical and adult-use cannabis products. We are hiring an Environmental Specialist to monitor and maintain the environments for plants across our entire Delavan, IL facility. As Environmental Specialist, you'll oversee and manage climate control systems (lighting, HVAC, dehumidification, air circulation, CO2) critical to each growth stage from propagation through flowering and drying. Working closely with cultivation and facilities teams, you'll maintain ideal environmental conditions to support yield, quality, and energy efficiencies.
Essential Functions :

- Demonstrate consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality to maintain daily operations and team effectiveness
- Observe all safety and biosecurity practices and guidelines while executing tasks
- Maintain optimal lighting schedules & intensity, adapting spectrum and duration for vegetative vs. flowering stages
- Control temperature, humidity, VPD (vapor-pressure deficit) per phase, ensuring stable daily cycles and transitions
- Operate and monitor HVAC-D systems (HVAC + dehumidification) adjusting operations to balance sensible and latent loads
- Ensure air quality & odor control via filtration systems (HEPA, activated carbon, UV sanitizers) and proper ventilation
- Integrate lighting and HVAC operations holistically especially heat output and airflow from lighting changes
- Monitor CO2 levels, airflow, and circulation to support plant respiration and transpiration
- Record operational metrics temperature, RH, energy use; troubleshoot and report anomalies
- Perform routine system checks, preventative maintenance, and operations documentation
- Collaborate with cultivation, maintenance, and management teams to address issues proactively
- Contribute to SOP development, continuous improvement, and energy reduction initiatives
- Report any environmental or plant health concerns to the IPM Manager
- Follow all safety and PPE guidelines according to OSHA, Illinois Department of Agriculture, and product label standards
- Assist with mechanical repairs on equipment, as needed
- Keep inventory and equipment records, as needed, and report to the supervisor
- Follow Revolution SOP's and report any deviations to management
- Perform other related duties / assist in other areas of the department as assigned
Minimum Education / Experience :
