Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Join our Growing Osteoporosis & Bone Health Clinic in Central Pennsylvania

Are you a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant that is passionate about improving outcomes in Osteoporosis care and fragility fracture prevention?

You will play a critical role in long-term disease management, patient education, and program development.

Description : What you will Do

  • Evaluates and treats patients with acute, chronic complaints and health maintenance concerns related to specialty
  • Obtains complete histories and performs pertinent physical exams with assessment of normal and abnormal findings on new and return patients
  • Orders and collects specimens for routine laboratory tests, screening procedures and therapeutic procedures, including blood and blood products.
  • Facilitates collaboration between providers and coordination of community resources
  • Participates in Quality improvement initiatives
  • Provides and coordinates patient teaching and counseling.
  • Orders physical therapy, occupational therapy respiratory therapy, radiology examinations and nursing services
  • Provide comprehensive care for patients with osteoporosis and fragility fractures
  • Prescribe and monitor injectable osteoporosis treatments and infusions

    • Qualifications :

  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Experience in orthopedic surgery, endocrinology, or spine care is preferred.
  • Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant in Pennsylvania is required.
