About the Role
Seeking a skilled Engineering Technician with an active Top Secret clearance to provide technical oversight and quality control for federal construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction management, infrastructure compliance, and project coordination within government or defense environments. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical infrastructure projects in Washington, D.C., ensuring safety, compliance, and technical excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Review and enforce construction contract provisions including quality control and safety requirements.
- Conduct site inspections to evaluate conditions and oversee contractor execution.
- Ensure compliance with federal, DoD, and engineering safety standards.
- Provide technical evaluations of contractor proposals, invoices, and modifications.
- Manage quality control processes throughout all project phases.
- Assist in project budgeting, cost estimation, and contract modifications.
- Monitor project schedules and milestones to ensure timely completion.
- Support risk assessments and contingency planning for infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and government personnel to align projects with mission objectives.
- Develop and maintain technical reports, documentation, and compliance records.

Job Requirements
Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance.Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering, construction quality control, or infrastructure management.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.Certification in Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C).Strong knowledge of federal construction regulations, NEC, OSHA, and safety compliance standards.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project management software.Ability to conduct site inspections and evaluate contractor performance.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with engineers, contractors, and government officials.Ability to work in high-security environments and comply with strict access controls.Physical ability to perform fieldwork including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.Education Requirements
