Job descriptionWeld and fabricate a variety of components using proper techniques and tools. Inspect and monitor welding processes to prevent overheating, warping, or distortion. Assemble, tack, and weld parts in vertical, flat, and overhead positions. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work environment. Report faulty equipment or defective materials promptly. Perform other duties as assigned. Ability to weld in vertical, flat, and overhead positions. Manual dexterity and visual acuity for precision work. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Proficiency in PVF (pipe, valves, fittings) welding and fitting. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience welding cut pipe, flanges, ports, drains, and other attachments. Familiarity with setup, positioning, and angular measurements. Must pass a demonstration weld test. Knowledge of welding machines, tools, and maintenance. Understanding of design techniques and technical plans. Strong math and measurement skills. Effective communication and listening abilities.
