PrideStaff Financial on behalf of a client in the Broward County area is seeking an experienced and professional Staff Accountant to join their busy and growing team! The Staff Accountant will be heavily involved in the monthly close process and general ledger maintenance. Please apply today!
Financial Closing: Assisting with the monthly closing process and preparing standard month-end close entries.
Reconciliation: Performing Bank Reconciliations (Cash Reconciliations), credit card and other revolving account reconciliations, and reconciling general ledger accounts.
Fixed Assets and General Ledger: Maintaining the fixed asset ledger and preparing general ledger entries.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Supporting accounts payable activities (including invoice matching), resolving inventory/receiving issues that impact payables accuracy, posting cash receipts, monitoring credit card balances, and preparing customer invoices for entry into the ERP system.
Auditing and Reporting: Assisting with the preparation of schedules for external financial auditors and providing ad hoc reports and analysis for senior management.
Financial Analysis: Performing financial analysis such as budget vs actual variance analysis and work order job costing.
Problem Solving: Answering accounting/financial questions by researching and interpreting data
Education: A Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and experience using an ERP system
Core Competencies: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
