\n Shift : 36 hours, Day (12-hour shifts), 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM, rotating weekends and holidays

\n Start Date : September 30, 2025

\n Assignment Length : Until December 30, 2025 (contract duration : 13 weeks)

    Preferred Education & Experience :

    \n \n

  • Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program.\n
  • Valid Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or eligibility.\n
  • Current Massachusetts State Respiratory Therapist License .\n
  • Certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), obtained within six months of hire if not already certified.\n
  • Previous hospital experience, especially in pulmonary diagnostics, mechanical ventilation, and emergency respiratory procedures.\n

    Certifications & License Requirements :

  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist (Massachusetts) \n
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) (NBRC) or eligible\n
  • ACLS , NRP , and PALS certifications (must be obtained within 6 months of start date)\n
  • \n

    Key Responsibilities :

    \n \n

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized respiratory care plans.\n
  • Administer respiratory treatments and oxygen therapy accurately and safely.\n
  • Perform and analyze ABGs, Pulmonary Function Tests, and EKGs following hospital and ATS standards.\n
  • Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators, BIPAP, and CPAP units.\n
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory health, medication use, and equipment operation.\n
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure safety protocols are followed, including VAP bundle components.\n
  • Maintain precise documentation of clinical interventions, patient progress, and adverse events.\n
  • Administer medications as ordered, ensuring correct dosages and monitoring for side effects.\n
  • Assist with specialized procedures, including fiberoptic bronchoscopy, and evaluate patient response for adjustments.\n
  • Reassess patient status regularly to adapt care plans promptly, ensuring optimal outcomes.\n

    Physical Demands : \n \n

  • Ability to exert 20–50 pounds of force occasionally; 10–25 pounds frequently.\n
  • Reach, handle, stoop, and crouch as needed to perform various clinical tasks.\n
  • Continuous use of hands and arms for procedures and equipment setup.\n
