Location : Hampton Roads, Virginia (Norfolk, Newport News, Portsmouth, Chesapeake)

Job Type : Full-Time | Long-Term Shipyard Projects

Pay : Competitive pay + overtime available

We are seeking skilled Shipyard Electricians to join our team on major ship repair and shipbuilding projects throughout the Hampton Roads, VA area. This role involves the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems onboard naval and commercial vessels , ensuring all shipboard power and control systems meet safety and quality standards.

️ Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment onboard ships

Work with power distribution systems, lighting, motors, control panels, and communication systems

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams

Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, components, and shipboard systems

Perform electrical tests using meters, gauges, and other diagnostic tools

Adhere to OSHA, NAVSEA, and shipyard safety standards while working in confined spaces and at heights

✅ Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of marine, shipyard, or industrial electrician experience

Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics

Experience with AC / DC circuits, switchboards, motor controllers, and lighting systems

Familiarity with NAVSEA standards and shipyard safety practices

Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and onboard naval / commercial vessels

Journeyman Electrician license or relevant certifications preferred (but not required)
