Spanish Medical Interpreter

A company is looking for an Interpreter I- Spanish- PRN.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitates communication between providers and Limited English Proficiency (LEP) patients and their families

Translates written medical communications and assists patients with healthcare forms

Provides emotional support and serves as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; certificate program or associate's degree preferred

1 year of experience in interpreting in a medical setting required

Medical Interpreter Certification Training within 180 days required

Certificate from an accredited 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Program preferred

Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and translating English and targeted languages
