Volunteer Grant Writer

ANAM Georgia is seeking a Volunteer Grant Writer to assist our growing nonprofit with proposal development and crafting narratives that align with funders’ priorities. We are looking for someone with some grant writing experience or the skills and background to learn quickly, especially if you have a strong foundation in writing, reading, and research. You will work closely with the Executive Director, who will provide training, guidance, and support to help you succeed in this role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to grow their grant writing skills while contributing to a meaningful cause.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports.

Ensure proposal narratives are tailored to funders’ priorities and requirements.

Track application deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements.

Coordinate with the Executive Director to gather program data, budgets, and impact stories.

Help develop a library of template materials for future proposals.

Maintain organized records of grant submissions, approvals, and outcomes.

Support communication with funders when needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in grant writing or nonprofit development preferred, but motivated learners with strong writing skills are encouraged to apply.

Excellent writing, research, and organizational skills.

Familiarity with U.S. grant opportunities for education, youth, arts, or community development is a plus.

Passion for music education and ANAM’s mission.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Experience with Google Doc, Excel / Sheets.
