Clinical Partner - Part-time Days - 3N ICU Surgical

Job Opportunity At Ssm Health DePaul Hospital

This is a part-time, day-shift position working two 12-hour shifts per week with a weekend and holiday rotation. The shift is from 7am-7pm. You must have at least one of the following to qualify for this role : Missouri CNA License OR Prior experience as a Nurse Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Surgical Technician, Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Behavioral Health Technician OR Enrolled in a Nursing program and completed the Fundamentals of Nursing program.

Assists in performing a variety of nursing care services for patients.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Receives patient care assignment from the registered nurse (RN) in charge.
• Initiates delegated tasks based on demonstrated competence in performing nursing activities.
• Collects and documents data for the admission assessment and reassessment.
• Relays information via charting and communicates to team members.
• Informs licensed nurse of any changes in patient condition / needs, of patient complaints, and of patient / significant other educational needs.
• Answers patients' calls for help, takes their vital signs, and monitors their behavior and physical condition.
• Performs various patient care tasks including baths, ambulating, feeding, skin care, personal and oral hygiene, and making occupied and unoccupied beds.
• Prepares patients for discharge and accompanies them upon dismissal.
• Stocks and maintains supplies and equipment.
• Assists with delegated clerical duties.
• Performs mechanical and manual operation of equipment.
• May perform point of care testing.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Equivalency for Licensing :
