No Certified Chest Pain Center Stroke Center Unit Information : Beds : 32 Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years PCU RN experience Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes Patient Types / Common Diagnoses : Could see any patient not requiring mechanical ventilation – CHF, Dysrhythmia, Chest Pain work up, Stroke, Abdominal illnesses and infections, Respiratory illness, Diabetes, AKI / CKD, ETOH withdrawal, IVDA, etc. Patient Ratios : RN : 1 : 4 is most common; could possibly go to 1 : 5 depending on acuity LPN (if applicable) : 4 : 1 CNA : Days 1 : 12; Nights 1 : 16 Required Licensure & Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Skills required : Experience with traches, cardiac gtt experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, wound care / dressing changes, management of central lines Support within the Department : CNA - ADL’s Receptionist / HUC?
