$2,078 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Hospice Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : Hospice RN

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Days

Hours per Shift : 32

Experience : Minimum of 3 years in nursing, preferably in hospice, home health, or palliative care

License : Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Utah or compact state RN license

Certifications : Current BLS Certification

Must-Have :

Strong clinical assessment skills

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Compassionate demeanor and ability to support patients and families during difficult times

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for home visits

Able to respond within 45 minutes to patient needs when on call

On-call for 1-3 shifts per week, including 3 weekends during the 13-week contract

Description :

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to join our interdisciplinary team.

The RN will provide skilled nursing care and support to terminally ill patients and their families in accordance with the patient’s plan of care and hospice philosophy.

Key responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments of patients' needs and coordinating individualized care plans.

The RN will provide pain and symptom management consistent with the hospice plan of care.

Education and support for patients and families regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, end-of-life issues, and the hospice philosophy are essential.

Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers, is crucial.

Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies is required.

Participation in an on-call rotation is necessary.

The ideal candidate will be compassionate and exhibit a strong commitment to providing high-quality end-of-life care.
