Description
The Integrative Digestive Health (IDH) clinical program is a subspecialty service embedded within the GI department. The IDH clinic consists of a multi-disciplinary team of providers and clinicians delivering team-based care for UCLA Health GI patients.
The IDH Clinic Coordinator provides non-clinical operational support to optimize patient care and ensure smooth clinic operations. This role is responsible for effective patient navigation in alignment with IDH clinical operations and program requirements, as well as developing processes to improve patient access, efficiency, and productivity.
Major Duties Include :
- Ensure effective patient navigation consistent with IDH program requirements.
- Develop and implement processes to improve patient access, appointment utilization, and overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with practice managers and clinical operations staff to implement IDH clinic policies and processes across outpatient GI clinics.
- Standardize operations across multiple clinic locations.
- Ensure accuracy of clinician schedule templates and maximize appointment utilization.
- Manage administrative components of new clinician onboarding, including provider enrollment and credentialing.
- Coordinate performance evaluations and compliance training requirements.
- Serve as liaison for patient escalations in collaboration with the IDH Clinic Director.
- Ensure compliance with UCLA processes and standardization of patient access to educational materials
Salary Range : $32.20 - $ 51.36 / hourly
Qualifications
Skills Required :
Strong knowledge of Patient Rights & Responsibilities, Joint Commission standards, and Centers for Medicare / Medicaid regulations. Knowledge of Medical Terminology. Strong knowledge of data collection, compilation, and analytical techniques.Strong skills to comprehend and assess patient's grievances to quickly locate appropriate resource for assistance. In-depth knowledge of the organization and how to get issues resolved.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to communicate and resolve issues effectively with a diverse population of patients, staff and physicians.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to develop solutions and recommend changes and follow through with implementation.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency with Windows-based software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.Preferred Skills :
