Job Description Summary

We’re seeking a highly strategic, results-oriented Senior Creative Leader to drive the orchestration and delivery of integrated brand and marketing initiatives across all consumer-facing touchpoints for Venmo. This senior-level role operates at the intersection of brand strategy, creative execution, and digital innovation, ensuring that Venmo’s brand foundations and campaigns are insight-led, tech-enabled, and tightly aligned with business outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate clear functional strategy and objectives in alignment with brand marketing strategy and operations requirements to deliver compelling results.
  • Negotiate with and influence decision-making at the senior executive level.
  • Identify and resolve unique situations of substantial significance in the field of brand marketing.
  • Allocate resources responsibly and apply creativity to convey a consistent and compelling brand message.
  • Provide support, coaching, and guidance to others to build strong brand recognition and loyalty.
  • Support and mentor less-experienced roles to provide an example of innovation, excellence, and day-to-day learning.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

    As a cross‑functional leader, you will manage high‑visibility, complex brand and marketing programs from concept to launch—partnering closely with internal stakeholders, executive leadership, cross‑disciplinary creative teams, and external agency partners. Your ability to navigate between big‑picture brand vision and operational precision will be critical to delivering multi‑channel campaigns that resonate, perform, and scale globally.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Champion Venmo’s brand foundations, including visual identity, verbal identity, and overall strategy.
  • Manage brand approvals, maintain guidelines, oversee logo / wordmark usage, and ensure brand fit across campaigns, activations, and product applications.
  • Own strategic development and day‑to‑day management of integrated advertising campaigns and marketing programs from inception through delivery.
  • Translate business goals into actionable marketing plans and creative briefs, aligning program execution with brand and performance objectives.
  • Lead creation of branded product experiences, spanning physical and digital experiences.
  • Build and lead Venmo’s rapid, agile creative and production arm—oversee intake, resourcing, and execution of briefs with internal teams and external agencies.
  • Lead and grow a team of program managers and creative project managers to build scalable processes and best practices.
  • Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in account management, program management, and brand marketing—preferably within a creative agency or brand environment.
  • Proven track record of leading large‑scale brand and advertising programs across digital, social, video, and traditional media.
  • Strong understanding of brand identity systems, creative workflows, and marketing campaign lifecycles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams (media, analytics, creative, production) in‑house at a high‑growth brand or Fortune 500 company.
  • Background in consumer‑facing industries such as tech, retail, CPG, or lifestyle.
