LEAD POLYSOMNOGRAPHER
Lead Polysomnographer- Sleep Center
Qualifications :
High school graduate or GED. Successful completion of the Registry exam administered by the American Board of Registered Electroencephalographic Technologists (ABRET) or training in sleep disorders technology and test scoring from an accredited Sleep Disorders Center.
Minimum of three years EEG clinical / technical experience, one year of which has been in a management / supervisory position.
Ability to work with critically ill patient in emergency situations. Proven leadership and decision making abilities. Accuracy, precision and attention to detail. Judgement and initiative in performance of duties. Ability to work with special patients. Ability to perform and score sleep studies. Ability to work in the operating room environment. Ability to perform nerve conduction studies and assist physicians with electromyography studies. Ability to train neurodiagnostics staff and Sleep Center staff.
Responsibilities :
Assumes responsibility for management duties in the Sleep Center.
Assumes responsibility and initiative for planning and time management.
Assumes responsibility for implementation of organizational skills to allow for accuracy, precision, and attention to detail.
Assumes responsibility for appropriate utilization of department resources and marketing activities.
Provides an effective high standard of care and assumes responsibility for the safety and mental and physical comfort for all age groups.
Assumes responsibility for all aspects of the technical duties of the Neurodiagnostics Department.
Assumes responsibility for all aspects of ancillary duties of the Sleep Center.
