Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Modeling and Simulation Specialist with direct experience using the Advanced Framework for Simulation Integration & Modeling (AFSIM). This role supports high-impact national defense projects by building and executing complex simulation scenarios to assess next-gen military capabilities. This position requires an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility and is located onsite in Reston, VA.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Build and refine models and simulations using AFSIM to analyze engagement and mission-level scenarios.
  • Develop dynamic scripts to simulate interactions and behaviors of military systems.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, such as pilots and technologists, to gather modeling requirements.
  • Analyze outputs from simulation scenarios and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work with software development teams to enhance modeling tools and improve simulation accuracy.
  • Design and execute study plans for military technology assessment.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • BS in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of analysis experience, with a minimum of 2 years directly using AFSIM in a professional setting.
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, C++).
  • Ability to apply the scientific method to diverse MS&A efforts.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • MS in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience with STK, JMP, Python, R, or C++.
  • Familiarity with both U.S. and foreign military systems and operational concepts.
