Job descriptionReview and revise work instructions to ensure accuracy. Create routing changes to be implemented in the ERP system. Prepare Excel spreadsheets, graphs, charts, Word documents, and Minitab projects for internal and external customers. Conduct magnetic calculations and establish correlations between customer data and EEC magnetic data. Collaborate with internal and external customers and maintain logs, databases, and control charts as required. Provide direction and support to quality inspectors to meet production schedules. Maintain customer-supplied materials, equipment, and standards. Support magnetizing, magnetic testing, and assembly plotting. Serve as the Designated Supplier Quality Representative (DSQR) for GE and GE affiliates. Provide training on production processes, quality processes, and magnetics. Run production jobs as needed based on operational demand. Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or mathematics / statistics. Six Sigma Black Belt - desirable 7+ yrs experience required. Able to clearly and succinctly send a message in a variety of communication settings and styles. Excellent problem solving skills : uses rigorous logic and methods to solve problems producing effective solutions to problem statements. Excellent time management skills : concentrating effort on priorities and overall planning, awareness and response to what is due now, short and long term. Ethical practice - adheres to the Company's Mission, Vision, Values and Culture during both good and bad times. Adheres to policy, procedure and complies with regulatory bodies and the law. Occasional, long workdays and weekends are necessary to fulfill job requirements. Lift and transport an average weight of 5 lbs., maximum 50 lbs.
Position Summary
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across all processes. This is a decision-making position requiring the development and operation of quality control systems, the application and analysis of testing and inspection procedures, and the ability to diagnose and correct quality issues using advanced metrology, statistical, and analytical methodologies. Your expertise will support various departments, ensuring that our products meet or exceed customer expectations.

- Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Apply root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions, and manage non-conforming materials.
- Complete equipment quality validations and verifications.
- Execute gage R&R studies and correlation tests.
- Support contract reviews and provide quality training for new employees.
- Generate paperwork for nonconforming materials.
- Set up and operate mechanical and magnetic inspection equipment.
