Position Overview

LeoTerra Development is seeking a reliable and skilled Front Roller Operator to join our asphalt paving crew. The Front Roller Operator is responsible for operating the front (steel drum) roller to properly compact asphalt and ensure smooth, even surfaces. This role is crucial for achieving high-quality paving results on roads, driveways, and other development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate front steel drum roller to compact asphalt and other materials according to project specifications.
• Work closely with the paving crew, including the Paver Operator, Screed Operator, and Foreman, to ensure proper compaction and smooth surface finishes.
• Monitor roller speed, vibration, and asphalt temperature to achieve uniform compaction.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections and perform basic maintenance on the roller.
• Assist in coordinating with other equipment operators to maintain a steady workflow.
• Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized job site.
• Report equipment issues or safety hazards to the Foreman or supervisor.
