Specific Duties and Responsibilities
This Correctional Officer Lieutenant position is located at Sumter Correctional Institution. The incumbent in this position has regulatory responsibilities and is subject to the provisions of Chapter 60L-36, Florida Administrative Code. The Officer assigned to this position has responsibility for supervising Correctional Officers and Correctional Officer Sergeants assigned to any security post on any of the established shifts. This position serves as the initial commander during emergency situations and functions as facility manager during non-administrative hours.
