ObGyn Hospitalist physician job in Virginia : Locum Tenens OB HospitalistLocation : Christiansburg, VirginiaProgram Start Date : September 2025Facility Type : Community Hospital Assignment Overview

Schedule : PRN or scheduled shifts (TBD)

Coverage Model :

1 Laborist in-house per shift

Privates manage their own patients

Hospital Deliveries (Monthly Avg.) : ~72

OBHG (Hospitalist Program) Deliveries : ~600 assigned + ~40 unassigned annually Clinical Responsibilities

GYN Coverage : No (except emergent cases only)

Primary Duties : Labor & Delivery coverage for unassigned patients

NICU Level : No NICU onsite

Nearby Referral Facility : Level 3B NICU at main hospital

Facility Setup : 10 Newborn bassinets

10 LDRP rooms Support & Resources

Backup Available : Yes

Other OBs

General Surgery

Emergency Medicine Physicians

MFM : Available (not onsite)

In-House Anesthesia : 24 / 7

EFM Certification : Required Key Requirements

Board Certification : Required (OB / GYN)

EFM Certification : Required

GYN : Emergent only
