This role will be a valued member of a tight-knit engineering team responsible for a variety of types of GNC (guidance, navigation & control) hardware. Supporting multiple programs within LM Space, this role will focus on GPSR (Global Positioning System Receiver) and IMU (inertial measurement unit) hardware. From procurement, through manufacturing, test, integration and on-orbit operation, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of subject matter experts to learn on the job. This role also includes a significant amount of collaboration with external entities, i.e. customers and suppliers, and may include periods of necessary business travel.
This position is contingent upon the program award expected in Early 2026.
Basic Qualifications
- Familiarity with GNC subsystem components and applications.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Security Clearance / Work Authorization :
- To meet requirements of the program / customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen.
- Although not required to start, selected candidates will be required to obtain, and maintain, a minimum clearance level of TS / SCI for long-term employment on this program.
Desired Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or other related engineering degree.Familiarity with RF (radio frequency) applications.Familiarity with orbital mechanics.Familiarity with spacecraft navigation and attitude determination.Proficiency in Matlab and STK.Experience working with hardware development, including build, test, and integration.Security and Other Requirements

Onsite Full-time : The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.Work Schedules : Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week; some may be condensed.Schedule for this Position : 9x80 every other Friday off.Pay Rate : The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $79,700 - $140,530. For other states, salary will reflect final work location.
