There are 30 staff members on the unit. Patient ratios are 1 : 6. The unit is equipped with computers on wheels and utilizes EMR. The primary electronic medical record system is Meditech. Most recruited candidates must demonstrate strong critical thinking and prioritization skills. Organizational skills are essential for this role. Preferred candidates may have charge nurse skills, ultrasound experience, and IV proficiency. Typical procedures performed include paracentesis and chest tube insertion. The ideal candidate is friendly and outgoing. The position requires every other weekend commitment. Professionalism is expected at all times.
