Physician (Part-time, onsite)

Medcor is seeking a Part-time Physician, 12 hours per week to provide hands-on Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine to employees at our onsite clinic in Waterloo, IA. The hours for this role are Tuesday's 5 : 00 AM - 11 : 00 AM, and Wednesday's 10 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM. Relocation package will be provided.

Scope of Services

The scope of services provided in this clinic includes episodic and urgent care, limited primary care, diagnosis and treatment of workers' compensation injuries and illness, regulatory exams and preventive services. Basic point-of-care lab work and limited prescription dispensing is available on-site.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Direction of the medical practice of the PA / NP
• Consultation as needed with the clinic's PA or NP
• Recognition of the PA / NP's education needs and help in meeting those needs
• Provide occupational medicine services at a level of an outpatient clinic
• Medical surveillance
• Provide assessment and treatment of work-related illnesses and injuries
• Provide urgent care of non-work-related injuries and illnesses as best supports site activities
• Fit for duty evaluations
• Provide initial evaluation and stabilization of patients who present with illnesses or injuries that require a higher level of care or EMS transport
• Provide pre-placement evaluations
• DOT evaluations
• Successful use of MD Guidelines

Practice Plan :

You Must Have

Double Board Certified in occupational Medicine AND a Primary Care Field (e.g. Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Emergency Medicine)
