License : NBSTSA CST
Certifications : BLS

Flexibility to prioritize and adapt in stressful situations
Description :
The CVOR Surgical Technologist performs delegated duties that ensure the operating room environment is safe.
Equipment is cleaned and functions appropriately under conditions that maximize patient safety.
The Surgical Technologist possesses expertise in the application of sterile and aseptic techniques.
They combine knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and tools to safely facilitate invasive and diagnostic procedures.
The Surgical Technologist manages stressful situations positively and embraces core competencies in their practice.
Demonstrates proficiency in clinical skills and knowledge specific to perioperative services.
Works with a solid understanding of sterile techniques.
Proficient in the scrub role across various surgical specialties.
Responsible for patient comfort, safety, privacy, and respect in the perioperative setting.
Identifies and develops areas of expertise within surgical specialties.
Demonstrates knowledge of equipment, instrumentation, and supplies.
Performs effectively in emergent situations and responds appropriately in emergency scenarios.
Certified in CPR.
Manages time effectively and accomplishes caseload assignments promptly.
Completes turnover of the operating room between cases within established timelines.
Working conditions may require prioritizing multiple projects and assignments.
May be exposed to auditory and visual stimulation, body fluids, and infectious processes.
Physical demands include standing, sitting, walking, lifting, and pushing / pulling.
Ability to perform tasks with fine manipulation and full range of motion in upper extremities.
Twisting and bending are frequently required throughout the day.
